Ingredients:
Cake:
1 cup oats
1-1/4 cups boiling water
1 stick butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping:
1 cup coconut
1 cup pecans
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup canned cream
Cooking Instructions:
Cake:
1. Boil water; add oats, cover and let sit for 20 minutes.
2. Using a large bowl, cream butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add to creamy mixture.
4. Add oats and mix well.
5. Pour batter into a greased and floured baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Topping:
1. Mix together cream, butter and sugar.
2. Add coconut and pecans and mix until mixture is creamy enough to spread on cake.
3. Place under broiler and broil until bubbly.
