1 pound ground ham 1 pound lean sausage 2 pkgs saltines, crushed fine 2 large eggs 1 cup sour cream 1/3 cup onions, chopped 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon curry powder |
1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon powder mustard 1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon paprika 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup cider vinegar 1/4 teaspoon black pepper |

Mix ground ham, sausage and bread crumbs together thoroughly. In a separate bowl, beat eggs together with lemon juice. Add sour cream and onions. Add curry powder, ginger, mustard, paprika and nutmeg and blend together thoroughly. Add egg and seasoning mixture to meat mixture and work together to form a loaf. Place in a loaf pan and bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Prepare sauce. Start with water and add brown sugar, vinegar, and a little pepper. Stir well. After baking ham loaf for one hour, drizzle sauce over ham loaf and return to oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from oven, slice and serve with excess sauce from pan on the side. |

This dish is great served with Baked German Potato Salad. I got this recipe from a cooking show I taped of Marcia Adams. Jessica would always request this for her birthday dinner. Said it just made her smile :) |
