How to Use the Search Feature on the Forum


If you are new to the forum or just need a little guidance and help on posting, please remember to use our search feature and help keep our forums tidy. This will cut down significantly on the number of accidental duplicates (“Reposts”) and it’s really quite simple to use. It's not a significant extra nuisance; in fact it makes things more convenient for conscientious submitters, who will usually do one or two searches before they submit anyway.

1. Just click on the word “Search” next to the little magnifying glass, under the text “Twisted Branches”, “Freebies, Sweeps, Surveys, Coupons & More Fun”, located on the top right hand side of every page of our forum.

2. In the space next to “Search for Keywords”, type in the word, term, or phrase you would use to describe the product, offer, or particular topic you would like to post. There are many ways to work with search terms and keywords, however, just start out with the most basic word. For example, if you wanted to post an offer for “Maxwell House 100% Columbian Coffee”, just type in the word “coffee.” Now click on the "Search" button or you can just press the “Enter” key and you will get a list of matches. The results will be found by searching all the forum’s topic titles and message text.

Note: It is better to search using the default settings and not changing the "Search Options" so the system checks every post in the forums. Otherwise, you might miss one that is covered under a different topic.

3. Scan over the list with your eyes and see if there is a topic that looks like what you wanted to post. If so, check it out. If you do not find your topic, go ahead and post it on the forum and we thank you in advance for your participation. If an offer has already been posted, feel free to reply to the post if you have something to add, but please do not just “bump” up the post.

If you happen to find a repost, please notify the administrator or forum moderator with a copy of the original thread URL and move on to the next post. Please do not bump the thread by saying it is a repost. If an offer is a repost, it will be removed and the member posting the offer will be notified of the rules & procedures.
